Arrive in bustling Edinburgh and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, gather for a welcome dinner.

Day 2: EDINBURGH / Castle and Crown Jewels

Tour Edinburgh Castle to view the magnificent Scottish Crown Jewels. Drive the Royal Mile, past St. Giles’ High Kirk, to Holyrood Palace, Queen Elizabeth’s official residence in Scotland (subject to closure for official events).

Day 3: ST. ANDREWS / Birthplace of Golf

Drive to St. Andrews, birthplace of golf and home of Scotland’s oldest university. Set off afoot on the legendary Old Course. Later, travel to Pitlochry to enjoy lunch at Hettie’s Tearoom and time for shopping. Explore the peaceful gardens at your historic hotel before a Musical Connection tonight: a festive dinner set to authentic Scottish dancing and bagpipe music.

Day 4: INVERNESS / Heart of the Highlands

Travel to the wild North Sea coast of the Scottish Highlands. Explore the richly-adorned Dunrobin Castle and witness falconry in its gardens. Enjoy an Artisan Connection at Dalmore whisky distillery, tasting the spirit and meeting with its makers.

Day 5: INVERNESS / Legendary Battle & Mystifying Loch

This morning, travel to the battlefield of Culloden Moor, where the Jacobite army was defeated in 1746. Then cruise the enigmatic waters of Loch Ness, stopping at the shore to explore Urquhart Castle. Continue to one of General Wade’s original military roads, constructed in the 18th century in an effort to establish order during the Jacobite rebellion. Stop for views of the Falls of Foyers, a beautiful 165-foot cascade that pours into Loch Ness. Retell stories from an adventurous day over dinner at a local restaurant.

Days 6-7: DUBLIN, IRELAND / Charismatic Capital

Fly to Dublin, Ireland. Visit Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, and enjoy a private tour of its library. Tonight, sample an Irish artisanal buffet curated from the region’s bounty. The next day, explore this energizing capital city and visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the largest church in the country.

Days 8-9: BLARNEY & KILLARNEY / The Kingdom of Kerry

Tour the haunting Rock of Cashel. Its stone towers and monuments comprise one of the most impressive collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture found anywhere in Ireland. Next, explore Blarney Castle. Dare to kiss the Blarney Stone, built in the castle’s steep battlements and said to bestow the “gift of the gab” upon all who do. Later, check in to your striking modern hotel in Killarney. The next morning begins at Bonane Heritage Park, followed by a visit to Kenmare with time for lunch. Cross Moll's Gap through Killarney National Park to Kissane Sheep Farm, and enjoy time at leisure in Killarney.

Days 10-11: DINGLE & CLARE / The Living Past

Follow the south shore of the Dingle Peninsula to charming Dingle Town, and then take the Slea Head Drive, a road that hugs the clifftops. Continue to your historic boutique accommodations — a former manor house — set in the center of charming Ennis. The next day, venture to the towering Cliffs of Moher. Scan this rugged landscape that regularly endures the fiercest of Atlantic storms to spot its large colonies of birds, including Atlantic puffins. Traverse the Burren, a lunar-like, karst landscape that is rich in historical and archaeological interest. Tonight, join your fellow guests for a delightful farewell dinner.

Day 12: DEPART SHANNON

Transfer to the airport in Shannon and depart.
