Day 1 - Arrive São Paulo, Brazil

Arrive in São Paulo, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. Set out this afternoon on a city tour, visiting Estação da Luz, a train station dating to 1867, to view its unique architecture. Venture inside the neo-Gothic Catedral da Sé de São Paulo before heading to the Japanese neighborhood of Liberdade. Also view famed Paulista Avenue. Then, visit Ibirapuera urban park, with its museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Dine tonight at a top local restaurant.

Day 2 - Iguazu Falls

Fly to Iguazu Falls and transfer to your hotel situated just a short walk from the cascades. After lunch explore the Brazilian side of the falls, enjoying panoramic views. Then, join a local guide on a catwalk over the falls, and then cap your experience with a Scenic Sundowner.

Day 3 - Iguazu Falls

Today, discover the Argentinian side of the falls by train, taking in spectacular views of the falls as well as the tropical flora and fauna. After lunch, proceed to a catwalk above the lush basin called the Devil’s Gorge.

Day 4 - Ouro Preto

Fly to Belo Horizonte and transfer by land to Ouro Preto and your stunning hotel, a historic mansion dating from the 19th century, and built during Brazil’s golden age. Tonight, gather for dinner at a local restaurant that specializes in Minas Gerais’ dishes.

Day 5 - Ouro Preto

Explore Ouro Preto, a center for gold mining in the colonial era, to view the 18th-century São Francisco de Assis Church, the Museum of the School of Mines, the Church of Our Lady of the Pilar and the Opera House, and see why this village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Mariana, founded in 1696, to stroll its picturesque streets. Continue to Minas Gerais Square to visit its church and other historical buildings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 6 - Rio de Janeiro

Fly to Rio de Janeiro, a coastal metropolis pulsing with the energy of its diverse people and lively culture, and transfer to your hotel, one of most glamorous in the city. Tonight, dine at one of Rio’s best barbecue restaurants.

Day 7 - Rio de Janeiro

Get a taste of the Carnival culture with a guided look backstage to see the construction process of costumes and floats. Visit the Grande Rio’s Warehouse Samba School, one of Rio’s first Carnival group schools, to view exhibitions about the history of Samba and the Carnival Parade. Then, enjoy a chance to dress up in carnival costumes, learn some samba moves and join a percussion class. Next, visit the bohemian Santa Teresa neighborhood to marvel at its charming architecture and experience the artistic culture. Enjoy lunch at a private estate nestled on a hill overlooking the neighborhood’s winding, cobblestone streets.

Day 8 - Rio de Janeiro

Enjoy your morning at leisure, perhaps strolling the famous Copacabana Beach or relaxing by the pool. This afternoon, ride by cable car to the peak of iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain, where you toast the sunset, and drink in the amazing views. Tonight, gather for a farewell dinner at a restaurant in the fashionable Leblon neighborhood.

Day 9 - Depart Rio de Janeiro

Journey up Corcovado Mountain for a spectacular glimpse of Rio, and an up-close look at the majestic statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Return to the hotel for time at leisure, before transferring to the airport for your departing flight.
