MEALS

ITINERARY

Day 1 ARRIVE IN NAIROBI, KENYA
Your Small Group Discovery Tour begins! Welcome to Nairobi, gateway to your dream safari. Hotel rooms are available for mid-afternoon check-in

Day 2 NAIROBI
Conservation Matters Guided sightseeing starts with a game drive in Nairobi National Park. Then visit [LF] the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn about elephant conservation, including orphaned elephant calves. As part of Globus family of brands Lighthouse Project, your visit contributes to the Trust’s mission. Also visit the Karen Blixen Museum, dedicated to the Danish baroness and author of Out of Africa—a 1937 autobiographical account (later adapted into an Academy Award-winning film) that illustrates her life as a coffee farmer and her connections with Kenya. Later, visit the Giraffe Center to learn about the Rothschild giraffe. (B,D) LOCAL FAVORITE WILDLIFE WORRIORS Discover the world’s most successful rescue and rehabilitation program for orphaned elephants and rhinos at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Orphans, rescued from threats such as poaching and habitat loss, are brought to the Nairobi Nursery for round-the-clock care from dedicated Keepers, who help them heal from grief and trauma. As the animals recover, they move to reintegration centers like Ithumba, where they learn vital survival skills and gradually reconnect with wild herds. Many eventually return to the wild, and the project has even welcomed 92 babies born to former orphans now thriving in their natural habitat. Visiting the Trust offers a meaningful look at conservation in action and a chance to support Kenya’s remarkable wildlife. TOUR HIGHLIGHT TALL ORDERS Operated by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, the Giraffe Center in Nairobi is a non-profit organization focused on saving the Rothschild giraffe. During a visit to this remarkable sanctuary, learn about this giraffe sub-species and meet them up close!

Day 3 NAIROBI– AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
In the Shadows of “Kili” Depart for Amboseli National Park arriving at the camp for lunch. Following lunch and time to enjoy the facilities, set out on an afternoon game drive. Celebrate your arrival in the bush with [LF] Sundowners and dinner at camp. As part of Globus family of brands Lighthouse Project, your visit contributes to Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund, aimed at recovering the lion population in Africa. This is one example of our commitment to supporting the people and places we share with you. (B,L,D) TOUR HIGHLIGHT ACCOMMODATION SPOTLIGHT A guest favorite, Praro Amboseli rests on the scenic Aloca Conservancy at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, overlooking a tranquil dam where animals gather from dawn to dusk. Watch birdlife arrive to drink or elephants mud wallow during the hottest hours of the day. The swimming pool and restaurant provide a peaceful place to relax between game drives. Spacious luxury tents feature indoor and outdoor lounging areas, en suite bathrooms, luxury bedding, and more. Here, modern comfort meets the quiet rhythm of the wild—your front row seat to the magic of Amboseli. LOCAL FAVORITE SUNDOWNER DRINKS This evening, as the sun sets with “Kili” as the backdrop, savor a memorable happy hour in the bush! The origin of the tradition dates to British colonialism in Africa in the 18th century and was born out of necessity rather than enjoyment. Containing quinine-infused tonic and gin, colonizers drank it to ward off malaria. As the British Empire expanded into Africa, the popularity of gin and tonic spread with it. Today, Sundowners mark the transition from day to night
