Carnival extends cruise pause

Carnival Magic

In the wake of  Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announcement today for cruise lines to cease sailing in the US, Carnival Cruise Lines voluntarily extended its  pause in U.S. cruise embarkations until Oct. 31, 2020. The company says it has informed passengers of the cancellations of all cruises scheduled to embark between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31.

Credits and refunds available

Carnival is offering special value packages for future cruises plus onboard credits or full refunds. The line is open to changes and to possible modified sailings. In the meantime it says it will work with authorities to implement stricter sanitation protocols and procedures.

A few cruise lines are currently resuming operations in Europe but there are no sailings in and out of any US port with the exception of small boat cruises around Alaska.
