Airline already ahead of the curve on coronavirus mitigation protocols

Delta deserves major shout outs for the work it’s doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The carrier’s stringent sanitation and passenger protocols are commendable. Especially it’s latest step to administer the new rapid-results nasal swab test for COVID-19 to crews. The CVS Health Return Ready testing is available at Delta hub crew lounges.
The airline is well on its way to testing nearly 100 percent of the airline’s workforce for COVID-19 by the end of the month. This helps ensure that no crew member boards a plane that tests positive. Talk about a good way to boost passenger confidence.
Every step helps
Health experts agree that a multi-layered approach that includes testing, regularly checking symptoms, wearing masks, distancing and personal hygiene are the greatest inhibitors to spreading COVID-19. Yesterday on CNN Dr. Anthony Fauci reported favorably on the new quick test.
Fear of flying during coronavirus
While some intrepid souls are hopping on planes, many prefer to wait it out. Still if you have to fly airlines such as Delta, Hawaiian and a few others are doing their best to keep us virus-free.
