Talk about spirits flying

Delta drinks

Delta Airlines knows how to provide passengers “happy” hours in the air.  And adult beverages is just one of its tricks.  The carrier is selling a variety of new drinks on its flights starting this month. And there’s something for every taste.

Like for vodka lovers there’s Du Nord Foundation Vodka. It’s from  the first Black-owned distillery in the U.S. It’s also d part of the Delta’s mission is to diversify the craft alcohol community.

Pick your suds

Delta drink menuBeer buffs will finds Vanilla Porter from Beckenridge brewers. It’s  inspired by the world’s favorite shortbread cookie. It actually has notes of biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg and coffee, and Madagascar vanilla .

Another brewski is The Hopsecutioner IPA– Terrapin Beer Company’s flagship beer. It glows with  a light copper color and carries aromas of fresh pine and citrus. A strong malt backbone provides balance to an aggressive hop bitterness.

Sip some sparkling wine

Delta drinks And for us lovers of the grape comes Une Femme “The Callie” California sparkling rose.  Une Femme produces 100% women-made champagne and sparkling wine. And  for every bottle it sells, they donate to a charitable organization with the purpose of improving the lives of women.

Feeling feminine

“The Callie” is Une Femme’s California sparkler. This crushable sparkling rosé is made with Napa and Sonoma-grown chardonnay, pinot noir and mourvedre grapes. It features juicy notes of ripe strawberry and rose petal on the nose, as well as nicely structured red fruits – think warm blackberries freshly plucked from the vine.

Delta drinks

Now my  Negroni-drinking mate will love this. Delta’s also offering the gin cocktail in a can. He might not like the tin part, though. Still compari mixed with with red bitters and sweet vermouth is a perfect inflight cocktail.

A bit ‘old fashioned’

There’s even a pairing of six-year-old PiggyBack Rye Whiskey with an Orange Fashioned Maple Cocktail Syrup.
