Princess adds Sportsbook gaming

Here’s a first.  Princess Cruises will be offering a real-time sports wagering experience if and when cruises return in 2021.  The action is set to take place on its MedallionClass ships. Gamblers will be able to place bets on professional and college sports as well as international events. The option is only available in international waters or where legal to do so.

Sportsbook betting burgeoning

Princess says “With more than $20 billion in wagers placed with U.S. sportsbooks in the past two years, sports betting is experiencing extraordinary growth. It could  reach more than $155 billion by 2024.”

The cruise line is working in tandem with software developer, Miomni, Ocean Sportsbook to add the sportsbook to implement the program which is part of the Ocean Casino.

Passengers can try their luck all over the ship to bet on games, blackjack, slots, poker, roulette, bingo, keno and even the lottery.

About MedallionClass

Princess’s Ocean  OceanMedallionTM is a wearable device that provides elite level bandwidth with MedallionNet powered by SES. Passengers can use the gadget as a cabin key, to order meals, drinks and more.

“A fully-connected guest experience now goes well beyond a superior Wi-Fi position. “The Ocean Sportsbook allows seamless wagering,” says John Padgett, chief experience and innovation officer for Carnival Corporation.

In addition to bodacious betting, Princess MedallionClass Vacations also deliver  touchless embarkation and disembarkation and frictionless commerce.

*Due to Carnival Corporation’s affiliation with the Miami Heat, bets cannot be place in Ocean Sportsbook on NBA events involving the Heat.
