Oh how we danced on the night we were wed
An anniversary at sea to remember
It doesn’t get more romantic that this. Our gorgeous 760-square-foot suite turns into a fantasy of flashing lights and music. A CD belts out Kenny Rogers best love songs. A luscious chocolate cake awaits on a beautiful table. We were celebrating our anniversary and Pedro, our Silver Suite butler surprised us by decorating the suite with candles, balloons, music and lights.
We lived large during a two-week cruise on Silversea’s Silver Muse. It was like another honeymoon (we’ve had a few). We never wanted to leave the suite. But with 10 different dining venues and several bars and lounges it was hard to stay put. And then there were glorious ports of call: Barbados, St. Thomas, St. Barth’s, Antiqua, St. Kitts, Martinique and Grand Turk. There were only two days at sea during this voyage and we wished there were more because the ship is so inviting.
You can sit back and relax and gaze at the wake from huge windows in different lounges or your balcony. Spend the day in a deck chair by the large pool, hit the gym to work off the calories from the gourmet meals, pamper yourself at the gorgeous spa, sip free Champagne, cocktails, wine, specialty coffees all day anywhere you want. The crew, from your suite staff to the restaurants and bars aim to please even though there is no tipping, it’s included.
The Muse’s Silver Suites are located close to a gorgeous bar/lounge manned by Rodney the friendly barkeep who really knows his way around martinis
We feasted on steaks, lobster, fresh fish, Asian food and specialty dishes all washed down with that complimentary Champagne or wine (after Martinis at one of the bars). Of course there were luscious desserts served in the restaurants or the Arts Café—which was stocked with sinfully calorific goodies (thank goodness for the fitness center).
Like every Silversea cruise we ever took, this was another for the books. If you want to experience luxury at its best just contact a Pavlus travel specialist to set you up.
