Luxury line offering one of the best refunds in industry

Luxury cruise operator Silversea issued a new cancellation policy today that greater benefits passengers. The new rules embrace the Royal Caribbean Group’s ‘Cruise with Confidence’ initiative. This gives passengers, departing before July 31st, 2020, the right to cancel as late as 48 hours in advance.
Policy extends through Dec. 31, 2020
Silversea’s existing cancellation policy extends to all sailings departing between June 1st and December 31st, 2020.
“Silversea strives to exceed our guests’ expectations. The fluid Covid-19 situation requires unprecedented flexibility in booking and cancelling voyages,” says Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s CEO. “This is why we welcome RCCL’s incredible ‘Cruise with Confidence’ program. It allows us to offer additional options to all guests Silversea sailings.”

For all Silversea voyages departing before July 31st, 2020 (existing and future bookings), the new ‘Cruise with Confidence’ policy allows cancellations as late as two days before departure. Those who do will get a Future Cruise Credit.
For all sailings taking place after July 31st until December 31st, 2020, a 30-day prior to sailing cash cancellation option is in place. Guests on sailings between June 1st, 2020 and July 31st, 2020 have a range of options from which to choose.
