Silver Spirit’s face lift proves welcoming change for most
By Patti Pietschmann Travel Diva
Frankly we didn’t see anything wrong with Silversea’s Silver Spirit the first two times we sailed on it. But her owners apparently did. So they decided to not only upgrade her pretty self but give it a big stretch.
So far the feed back from passengers who have sailed her since the refit is good. There are always a few who don’t like change. I haven’t been back on board yet, but plan to soon.
More leg room and amenities
Any how Silver Spirit got redone last March at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Palermo, Italy. The ship was literally sliced in half. And now sports a prebuilt 49-foot (14.9-metre) midsection.
The result was extra space plus more amenities for Silversea’s guests. These photos show the ship’s transformation, which took inspiration from Silversea’s flagship, Silver Muse.
The Spirit now hosts the line’s signature Zagara Spa. She also sports Tor’s Observation Library, Dolce Vita Lounge and Arts Café, where you pick up a sandwich or savory, coffee and just relax in super comfort indoors and out. And every suite was brought up to muster.
Like all the ships in the upscale fleet Silver Spirit features spacious suites, sumptuous cuisine, and butler service for all. Fares for sailing in sophisticated style include complimentary premium wines and spirits, specialty coffees, bottled water, juices and soft drinks.
Guests can even tipple on their balcony or in suite from a well-stocked mini bar for free. Plus there’s 24-hour dining service; lectures and enrichment programs and unlimited free Wi-Fi. It’s easy to book a Silversea Cruise while you’re here by just heading over to Pavlus Travel’s page. There you can hook up with well-informed agents that will steer you in the right nautical direction.
