Anguilla

As a follow up to our former post on Anguilla we thought we should alert you to new entry rules. It’s just a part of this Covid conundrum we’re are all experiencing. And an attempt by the island’s government to control the spread.  Anguilla’s Executive Council is taking additional measures to further strengthen its entry protocols.  As of , August 30th there are 38 active cases of Covid-19.

  Who can enter

Only  adult travelers with full vaccinations can enter Anguilla; children under the age of 18 years and women who are pregnant are exempt from this requirement. A vaccination doesn’t ensure entry. Visitors also need to undergo two Covid tests–one on arrival, another four days later at a cost to them of $200 for both. Arriving visitors need to  remain in place at their hotel until results are in–which is usually a few hours.

Tourists must also apply for Entry Permission at www.ivisitanguilla.com.   Once on the site you must upload proof of vaccination and a  negative COVID-19 rt-PCR test. The test must be from a nasopharyngeal swab taken 3 – 5 days prior to arrival on island.  The card/identification by the country administering the vaccine needs to undergo a review by the Anguillian authorities to ensure authenticity.

Applications arrive no later than 12:00 PM EST the day before the day of arrival. For assistance with the travel application portal v email visitanguilla@gov.ai (please allow up to 12 hours for a reply); or call 1-264-584-2710, or 1-264-497-5666 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST.

 Follow protocols

Visitors will need to respect the COVID-19 protocols of business and establishments on island. This means wearing a face covering in indoor public spaces and social distancing at least 3 feet between people in indoor settings. It also entails observing proper hygiene with frequent hand washing or using hand sanitizer.
