Sir Richard Branson is really working it. The dare-devil billionaire, entrepreneur keeps creating eccentric experiences for his Scarlet Lady.
His newest attention grabber is the offering of a Champagne on Demand app that delivers a 750ml bottle of Möet Chandon Imperial to you anywhere on the ship.
The bottle comes in an eye-catching, gleaming Virgin red champagne bucket with two glasses and costs $95.
Anytime’s a good time for Champagne
“It is never too early for champagne,” says Tom Mcalpin, president and CEO of Virgin Voyages. “So we created Shake for Champagne which adds to the rock star panache of the ship,” ” adds Nathan Rosenberg, CMO for Virgin Voyages.
Sip in divine decadence
There’s also a chic Champagne and caviar lounge where ‘sailors” (Branson’s name for passengers) can buy premium labels to go with their roe.
Sip is a decadent dedicated-Champagne lounge offering a diverse curation of labels, including Moët Chandon – Virgin Voyages’ featured champagne house. Sailors can opt for a glass of bubbles priced from $9 or splash out on a $1,000 vintage bottle.
Tea time too
In keeping with Virgin’s quintessential British heritage and eccentricity, Sip will also serve a signature afternoon high tea.
