Silver Origin debuts in 2020 with extraordinary features

Silversea’s Silver Origin sets sail in the Galapagos in 2020 as one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships ever built. The destination immersive expedition ship will offer uniquely immersive Ecuadorian-themed shore and on board experiences led by Silversea’s Expedition Team.

A preview of the interior design of Silver Origin shows luxury, inspired by Silversea’s understated Italian elegance.  It  also indicates influence from the Galapagos’ unique natural environment with bold, colorful motifs and regional materials will accentuate the design.

Basecamp, allows guests to socialize before and after excursions. It is one of  Silver Origin’s most innovative spaces. The venue speaks synergy with the ship’s Zodiac embarkation.

In the lounge, passenger can interact with the onboard Expedition Team to learn everything they ever wanted to know about the Galapagos Islands.

There is even a large, interactive digital wall—through which guests will be able to access destination-related content, including pictures, videos, excursion previews and scientific presentations.

Explorer Lounge, designed with floor-to-ceiling windows for sweeping views of the destination, hosts daily briefings and lectures. A  large video wall and wide HD screens show destination highlights.

The Observation Lounge, located at the very front of the ship,  affords an elegant hideaway in which to relax and view the scenery.

The suite life

Silver Origin is fitted with  eight different, all-balcony suite categories. The largest is  the Owner’s Suite.  Certain suites feature an innovative Horizon Balcony, which can convert to enclose the balcony with a floor-to-ceiling windows.

In a first for Silversea, some  suites are equipped with a heavenly ocean-view bathtub and shower that is accessible from the balcony.   A diva’s delight for sure.
