Day 1 Arrive Milan – Lake Maggiore (Baveno) (2 Nights)

Welcome to the Italian Lakes region. Airport transfers will be provided at set times from Milan Malpensa Airport to your hotel in the picturesque thermal resort of Baveno on the shore of Lake Maggiore. This evening meet and get to know your companions and Travel Director at a Welcome Reception.Welcome Reception

Day 2 Lake Maggiore (Baveno) At Leisure and Como Excursion

After a leisurely start enjoy free time this morning to explore Baveno with its Romanesque bell tower and octagonal baptistery. Later travel to scenic Lake Como, a popular retreat for aristocrats and celebrities since Roman times, and visit Como town. Walk along its beautiful waterfront with a gelato in hand, or relax with a cappuccino in this picturesque lakeside setting before returning to your hotel later in the afternoon.Buffet Breakfast

Day 3 Lake Maggiore (Baveno) – Bergamo – Lake Garda (5 Nights)

Visit the ancient town of Bergamo near the foothills of the Alps. Explore the streets of the medieval old town with its Renaissance architecture reflected in the exquisite Piazza Vecchia at the heart of the city and the 12th century Santa Maria Maggiore basilica. Continue your journey to Lake Garda for a relaxing five-night stay. Dine at your hotel this evening.Buffet Breakfast, Dinner with wine

Day 4 Verona Excursion

In Shakespeare's romantic city of Verona, view the Roman arena and Juliet's Balcony during your walking tour of the town with a Local Specialist. Spend time exploring this city at your own pace, with suggested visits to the 1st century Arena, Castelvecchio's city art museum with its rich collection of medieval sculpture and Renaissance paintings, or Lamberti's Tower offers spectacular views of the city. Day 5 Marostica and Bassano del Grappa Excursion

Your full day excursion starts by visiting Marostica, a beautiful 14th century town renowned for its annual living chess event held in September, although the acclaimed festival's chessboard is visible in the Piazza Castello all year round. See the town's old city walls, two castles and take in the beautiful city views. Finish this leisurely day by visiting Bassano del Grappa, renowned for its white brandy (Grappa) and magnificent scenery. Return later to Lake Garda.Buffet Breakfast

Day 6 Lake Garda At Leisure

You have a whole day to do as you please - explore the largest lake in Italy or spend the day relaxing. Visit one of the quaint lakeside towns and their markets to shop for local produce such as olive oil and cheese, take a leisurely walk along the lakeside path or venture further afield and see some of the lake's sights including the 13th century Scaliger Castle, Grottoes of Catullus the 5th century wooden statue of St. Peter near Bogliaco. Perhaps take an Optional Experience to visit the magnificent Dolomite mountain range, a World Heritage Site comprising 18 peaks at an altitude of over 3,000 metres. Buffet Breakfast

Day 7 Modena Excursion

Enjoy today's excursion to the interesting gastronomic city of Modena. A Local Specialist will walk you through the Old Town and show you the Piazza Grande including views of the Ghirlandina Tower. You will also see the magnificent 12th century Romanesque cathedral. Sample some of the local speciality balsamic vinegars. After a short drive visit the Ferrari Museum for a Cultural Insight into the history of this luxurious Italian icon founded by Enzo Ferrari.Buffet Breakfast

Day 8 Lake Garda – Milan

This morning leave the lakes behind and travel towards the major world fashion and design capital of Milan. On arrival, see the sights during an orientation of the city centre including the Gothic Duomo, 19th century Galleria and La Scala Opera House. Enjoy free time to do some last-minute shopping on Milan's famous boulevards, Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga and Via Sant'Andrea. This evening join your fellow travellers to celebrate the end of your holiday at a Farewell Dinner.Buffet Breakfast, Farewell Dinner

Day 9 Depart Milan
