Day 1 Vancouver
Welcome explorers to one of Canada's most diverse and cosmopolitan cities. Ready to jump right in? We thought as much. Today you'll meet up with your Contiki team and kick start your trip in style with a FlyOver Canada experience, on us, that will see you checking out Vancouver from the skies. Once our toes hit the ground we'll hit the streets of this hella cool city, checking out Chinatown, Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge and more. Later we'll head out for dinner as a crew, toasting to a perfect first day.
Day 2 Vancouver
Schedules cleared, today is yours to explore Vancouver your way. And boy oh boy will this city steal your heart. Hipster shops, cafes and bars spill out onto the streets all across the city, just begging you to stop by for a flat white and an almond croissant. Our faves? Matchstick on Fraser St. is all over that tasty pastry vibe, whilst Gene on Main Street will give you the ultimate coffee hit. Fancy hanging with us later? Then hop on board our Me Time Optional dinner cruise around the harbour; the perfect party starter before a night on the town.
Day 3 Vancouver to Victoria
"Shake off that dusty hangover feeling this morning with a ferry ride over to Vancouver Island, where we'll then be making tracks to Victoria. In the beautiful, historic capital city of British Columbia, two things are evident; bikes and beauty. Indeed the number of cyclists in Victoria has earned it the title 'Bike Capital of Canada', and when you clap eyes on this picturesque city, we just know you'll fall head over heels. This afternoon take your time exploring the quaint downtown area complete with colonial architectural flourishes, or opt for a wander through the famous Butchart Gardens, boasting utterly gorgeous views. Want to do something today you'll remember forever? The waters surrounding Victoria are home to three different species of Orca whale, so why not venture out to try and spot them on our Me Time Optional..."
Day 4 Victoria
When an English Town moves to Canada, the result is Victoria - unique, beautiful, and utterly charming. Today is a free day, so fuel up on your included breakfast then hit the streets and get to know it your way. What do we recommend? Easy - hire a bike and cycle the paths and trails the city is known for, swinging by trendy shops, bars and restaurants on route. Feel like getting even more active than this? Maybe we can tempt you with a spot of stand up paddle boarding...
Day 5 Victoria to Tofino
Rise and shine, a new city and a new destination awaits, not to mention one of the most scenic drives in the entire world. On route to Tofino, we'll pass by a Douglas Fir wilderness known as Cathedral Grove, the historic township of Port Alberni, and make our way towards the Majestic Sutton Pass along the edge of Kennedy Lake; a lake so vast it could easily be mistaken for the Pacific Ocean. With Tofino on the Horizon, we'll swing through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, breathing in that sweet fresh air. Trust us, you'll need all the energy you can get for tomorrow...
Day 6 Tofino
Thought you'd lost your heart to Victoria? Tofino is about to steal it right back with its awe inspiring natural beauty and rich ecological diversity, not to mention its abundance of adventure based activities. Always dreamt of learning to surf or consider yourself something of a pro? You're in the right place - Tofino just so happens to be the best surf spot in the entirety of North America, and we've got a surfing Me Time Optional with your name all over it. Not so keen? It's all good. With hiking, kayaking and bear spotting (for reals) all on the menu, we know your adventourous side won't go hungry.
Day 7 Tofino to Whistler
The little mountain town with a big reputation, you'll soon see why Whistler deserves your praise no matter the season. It may be famed for its world class ski slopes and Winter Olympics credentials, but Whistler has so much more to offer the discerning traveller or outdoor enthusiast, and tomorrow you'll discover why.
Day 8 Whistler
With a full day in Whistler, what's it going to be? Zip-lining through the treetops? Canoeing across the lakes that are so clear they are a mirror image of the towering alpine trees above? Mountain biking the trails? Or maybe something more sedate, like shopping in town, or cafe hopping? However you choose to fill your last full day on tour, we'll then convene and swap stories tonight over dinner. This evening is our last as a Contiki fam, so lets do it as only we know we can.
Day 9 Whistler to Vancouver
It may be our last day, but we've got one more surprise in store for you yet. Leaving Whistler this morning we'll wind our way to the scenic Sea to Sky highway, stopping off on route at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Afraid of heights? You might just be after this, as we take a walk to remember amongst the tree tops, 80 metres above ground. The scared face emoji springs to mind...Once back to where it all began, it's time to say goodbye to your new wolf pack. Our advice for avoiding the post holiday blues? Start planning the next adventure...
