From Vancouver, you'll travel by ferry to the beautiful island city of Victoria for an overnight excursion in British Columbia's capital city.
Day 1: Calgary
Your admission to the Calgary Tower is included in your package: like feeling like you're suspended mid-air? Then you'll love the vantage point on top of the Calgary Tower, with stellar views from 525 feet above the city. With a 360 degree view, spot the rolling foothills that surround Calgary and meet the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Day 2: Calgary to Banff
Climb Sulphur Mountain in a record-breaking eight minutes and get a bird's-eye view of six mountain ranges. Sorry, did we say 'climb'? We mean 'ascend in style' in your fully enclosed four-passenger gondola cabin!
Day 3: Lake Louise to Banff
A half-day tour takes you from Banff into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. In the afternoon, you will return to Banff in a motor coach transfer. Day 4: Banff to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels into the city of Kamloops, where you will overnight at a hotel.
Day 5: Kamloops to Vancouver
Your admission to the Vancouver Lookout is included in your package: get a 360 degree view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Your adventure starts with a 40 second glass elevator that climbs over 550 feet to the panoramic observation deck. From here, you'll gaze out onto Metro Vancouver’s cosmopolitan downtown, the vast Pacific Ocean, and the beautiful North Shore mountains. Explore the Vancouver Lookout on your own. Transportation to and from the Vancouver Lookout is not included. Open from: 8:30am to 10:30pm.
Day 6: Vancouver to Victoria
Today depart by scenic seaplane from Vancouver Harbour to British Columbia's garden capital city, Victoria. Among the highlights are a scenic flight over the picturesque Gulf Islands. The remainder of your day is yours to explore Victoria's Inner Harbour, take a whale-watching tour, or experience high tea at the Fairmont Empress. Overnight in Victoria.
Day 7: Victoria to Victoria Region
Travel by motorcoach on a scenic drive to Victoria's premier attraction, Butchart Gardens. You'll be enchanted by the beautiful sights and scents of this 55-acre floral garden and discover why it's been designated a National Historic Site of Canada. In the afternoon, return at your leisure by motorcoach to Victoria, where you are free to explore on your own. Overnight in Victoria.
Day 8: Victoria to Vancouver
After checking out from your Victoria hotel, take a 40min scenic flight over the Strait of Georgia from Victoria's Inner Harbour right into Downtown Vancouver. Highlights include aerial views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands, the Cascade, Olympic and North Shore mountains, and Vancouver's Stanley park. You are free to explore Vancouver for the remainder of the day. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 9: Vancouver
British Columbia’s mild climate and unique geographic location, tucked between mountains and sea, provide the province with an abundance of amazing culinary bounty which guests will explore on this in-depth “Made in BC” Vancouver food tour on Granville Island. In the company of an experienced local chef or food writer (maximum six guests/docent), this 2.5-hour walk will get under the skin (or peel) of this fascinating and delicious world as intellectually curious guests tour the market, meet some of the local producers and taste their delicious wares. Please note: Include any dietary restrictions or allergies, and the docent will adapt accordingly, as there are several tastings of fish or seafood, and guests will need to make their own way to/from 126 Davie St. for the tour
Day 10: Vancouver
