Day 3 - Musical Memphis Tour, Graceland Elvis Experience and Memphis BBQ Dinner
The day begins with a local musician guide conducting a “musical tour” of “The Blues City.” You will see Beale Street, Cotton Row and the Lorraine Motel. Visit Sun Studios, known as the “Birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll” and walk the halls where Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny Cash and so many more made music. You will also visit the Memphis Rock ‘n Soul Museum which tells the tales of the musical pioneers and legends love of music. Then, you will head to the Graceland Mansion and begin the experience with the orientation film followed by an audio-guided tour of the mansion.
Explore the personal side of Elvis with the living room, the kitchen, TV room, the famous Jungle Room as well as the Trophy Building and Racquetball Building. Stop in the meditation garden before returning to the complex to see Elvis’ two custom airplanes and the new state-of-the-art Visitor Entertainment Complex, which houses the expanded car museum, the Elvis Discovery Exhibits and the Elvis The Entertainer Career Showcase Museum. In the museum complex, a Memphis barbeque buffet dinner awaits. Meals: B, D
Day 4
Day 4 - Cape Girardeau and the Crisp Museum
Depart Memphis this morning and travel north. Stop in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for an included lunch featuring a live Storyteller sharing their tales. Then visit the Crisp Museum located on the Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus. A local guide conducts a Christmas driving tour of Cape Girardeau before departing for the hotel. Day 5
Day 5 - Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Home
Depart this morning and make a stop in Springfield. Here, visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. This state-of-the-art facility documents the life of our nation’s 16th U.S. President as well as the course of the American Civil War. Later, return home filled with warm holiday memories from your Blue Christmas holiday. Meal: B
