This morning, take a narrated boat tour through the world-famous Soo Locks. Experience both an up bound and down bound lockage and get up close to the mighty freighters. After lunch, head to Paradise and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Here, you will learn about the perils of maritime transport on the Great Lakes and see the 1861 Whitefish Point Light Tower. Dinner is at the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery, a great stop after viewing the beautiful Upper Falls. Meals: B, L, D
A trip to Mackinac Island is a like a trip back in time as this peaceful resort island offers a glimpse into life during a simpler and more genteel era. A horse-drawn carriage greets you for a tour en route to the crown jewel of Mackinac Island, the Grand Hotel, the world’s largest summer hotel, built in 1897, and our home for the next two nights.
