ITINERARY
ITINERARYDay 1 - Sunday
Meet in Paris, and transfer to lovely 'La Nouvelle Etoile,' moored in the river town of Auxerre. After a welcome reception, enjoy a gourmet dinner on board.
Day 2 - Monday
Cruise the beautiful Yonne River this morning to the pleasant riverside town of Joigny. After lunch on board, drive to Chablis to visit a small family-owned vineyard for a tasting and tour of the cellars.
Day 3 - Tuesday
Explore the winding, cobbled streets of Joigny's old town this morning to view the interesting medieval carvings on its ancient, half-timbered houses. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon cruise to the charming village of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne.
Day 4 - Wednesday
Continue cruising along the Yonne River to the town of Sens. Visit the Musées de Sens, situated in the former archbishop's palace, and the great 12th-century cathedral, the first to be built in Gothic style.
Day 5 - Thursday
After a leisurely cruise this morning, visit the medieval town of Provins. Its high ramparts and fortified gates have earned it a place on UNESCO's World Heritage List. After lunch, attend a magnificent birds of prey show and demonstration.
Day 6 - Friday
Today’s excursion is to the magnificent Palace of Fontainebleau. The château, set amid 130 acres of gardens and parkland, was home to French royalty for eight centuries. Experience charming Moret-sur-Loing, where Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley created many famous canvases. A gala dinner this evening ends the cruise week.
Day 7 - Saturday
After breakfast, transfer back to Paris.
