Seville is a treasure trove of architecture, with its Moorish La Giralda, a 12th-century tower, and the magnificent 14th-century Alcázar, a Mudéjar palace. See an Arab fortress, Renaissance palaces and Roman necropolis in this home of flamenco.
On arrival, you are met by your Guardian Angel and transferred
by private vehicle to your hotel.
Day 2: Overview of the City
Join your local guide to visit the 15th-century Cathedral and La
Giralda. Its Moorish tower was erected as a minaret in the 12th
century. Continue to the Alcázar, a magnificent 14th-century
Mudéjar palace that is one of the oldest royal residences in Europe
still in use. Walk the maze of narrow streets in the Barrio de
Santa Cruz, admiring the whitewashed houses, small squares and
flower-filled patios. At the Museum of Fine Arts, view religious
works from the Middle Ages and beautiful paintings by Zurbarán,
Ribera and Murillo. Continue to Casa de Pilatos, home to one of
Seville’s great aristocratic families.
Day 3: Historical Carmona
In unspoiled Carmona, visit the Arab fortress, Renaissance
palaces and a Roman necropolis before returning to your
Seville hotel. You may wish to add a visit to the Tablao El
Arenal, located in a 17th-century building, to watch a dance
performance of flamenco.
Day 4: Depart Seville
