Horseback Riding
Explore the scenic beauty and majestic wildlife of Triple Creek Ranch's 600 acres and surrounding Bitterroot National Forest. You can hike endlessly out the door of your cabin and see wild turkeys, elk, deer or an occasional moose! Three sides of the ranch are bordered by national forest, offering more options for longer hikes. Many off-ranch trails are available for all levels of ability. Hiking to Baker Lake, a secluded alpine lake, Trapper Peak, the highest peak in Western Montana, and Boulder Falls, a waterfall only accessible by foot, are just a few of the many hikes available. Whether you choose a ranch hike or an outing off-property, you will be supplied with trail maps, backpacks, bottled water, picnic lunches, sunscreen and insect repellant. A car is needed to get to the trail heads to enjoy off-ranch hikes.

Complimentary fly-casting lessons are available to Triple Creek Ranch guests. If you like to fish on your own, contact the Activity Coordinators for any equipment needed and a map to local fishing accesses. They can direct you to nearby scenic areas just a short drive away. Take a cooler with your favorite beverage or even a pack lunch. Triple Creek Ranch also has stocked trout ponds. One is located above the Lodge and another, larger pond is in the pasture below the main campus of the ranch. These are catch and release ponds. For an additional charge, Triple Creek Ranch can arrange for an Orvis-endorsed, guided fishing trip or scenic float trip.
