DAY 1, Thursday - Depart for Canada
Arrive in Toronto with its glistening skyline, Ontario’s dynamic capital; transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Time to settle in before tonight’s orientation meeting at approximately 7 PM with your Tour Manager on the adventure in Canada that lies ahead, followed by a Welcome Drink together. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 5 PM on Day 1 of the itinerary or earlier, if possible

DAY 2, Friday - City Tour of Toronto
This morning, learn about the history, culture and architecture of the largest city in Canada, on a guided tour of Toronto. See the bustling downtown district in addition to sites like CN Tower and St. Lawrence Market. Afternoon is at leisure to explore independently. In the evening, enjoy a drink with your fellow travelers and Tour Manager

DAY 3, Saturday - Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the Lake
An exciting day awaits you at spectacular Niagara Falls, one of the largest falls in the world. Get ready for a thrilling boat adventure that travels to the foot of Niagara. Feel the enormous power, get splashed by the sprays and get up-close and personal with one of the most incredible creations of Mother Nature. Truly, an unforgettable experience! Afterwards, on to enchanting Niagara-on-the-Lake for a lunch at leisure before returning to Toronto. A Welcome Dinner tonight celebrates your arrival in Canada

DAY 4, Sunday - Thousand Islands Cruise, Travel to Ottawa
The day begins with a drive to the shores of the majestic St. Lawrence River. Stop in Kingston, Canada's first capital city, for lunch at leisure with time to explore. Travel east to embark on an afternoon cruise to experience the 1000 Islands and see Boldt Castle, a full size rhineland castle on picturesque Heart Island. After disembarkation, proceed to Ottawa, the country’s multicultural capital city. The evening is free to explore this energetic city on your own

DAY 5, Monday - Ottawa City Tour
This morning, begin your day with a tour of the city’s highlights including the Parliament buildings and the National War Memorial with a local guide. Free time this afternoon to explore Ottawa. Perhaps visit the bustling market, known for its large display of local arts and crafts or visit some of the city’s museums and art galleries. Later this evening, participate in the optional Rideau Canal Cruise with dinner where during this narrated cruise you will discover the rich cultural heritage of the City of Ottawa. Afterwards savor dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 6, Tuesday - Travel to Quebec City
Depart Ottawa toward quaint Quebec City, the only walled city in North America, acclaimed as the “most French” city outside of France. Stop along the way for lunch at an authentic Sugar Shack, nestled in the Quebec countryside. Here, indulge your sweet tooth with delicious maple products! Enjoy traditional Quebec cuisine (with maple syrup, of course) along with music and taffy too! Upon arrival in Quebec City, time to explore the many old world shops, arcades and cafes. Tonight, try one of the popular restaurants featuring delicious regional French-Canadian cuisine

DAY 7, Wednesday - Old and New Quebec City
The discovery of Old and New Quebec includes Place Royale, the picture-perfect site of the city’s original settlement, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. View the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires, one of the oldest churches in North America before ascending by funicular to stately Chateau Frontenac, perched elegantly atop Cape Diamond. In the Old City, linger a while to walk the winding lanes, window shop and watch the parade of horse-drawn carriages. The afternoon is at leisure for individual explorations

DAY 8, Thursday - Travel to Montreal
From Quebec City journey to magnificent Montreal, the largest city in Quebec, a captivating blend of old and new. Take some time to explore one of the avant-garde art galleries or explore the Port with its historic buildings, cobblestone streets, market areas, and cafes. This evening, don’t miss experiencing one of the most exciting food scenes in North America. You’ll find irresistible patisseries, English pubs, old Jewish delis, superb French food and marvelous food markets reminiscent of Paris

DAY 9, Friday - Montreal
On the city tour of Montreal view Jacques Cartier Square and McGill University, the Basilica of Notre Dame, historical Place d’Armes and St. Joseph’s Oratory. Ascend Mount Royal, the largest hill in Montreal, to see the spectacular vistas including Olympic Park, site of the 1976 Summer Olympics. The rest of the afternoon is free to discover Montreal on your own. Walk along the narrow streets of Old Montreal with its 17th-century buildings -- you’ll think you’re in Paris! On your last night in Eastern Canada, a Farewell Dinner caps a great journey with your newfound friends
