Day 1 - Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Your day is at leisure; you may choose to book an excursion, visit museums or taste your way through the city's many restaurants and breweries. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 2 - Turnagain Arm / Resurrection Bay
Board the Coastal Classic Train for a breathtaking ride along Turnagain Arm and through scenic Grandview. Upon arrival in Seward, embark on a 3 ½-hour fully narrated Kenai Fjords wildlife cruise* through the protected waters of Resurrection Bay in search of whales, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises and other marine life. Sit back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings as your captain navigates the ship through the pristine waters to the best whale and wildlife viewing areas. Your captain and onboard naturalist crew ensure you stay informed and entertained. Overnight Seward.

Day 3 - Seward
Today, explore the charming port community of Seward, Alaska. Take in the fascinating history and breathtaking beauty as your guide shows you the sights of Seward, known as “the Gateway to Alaska” and “Mile 0” of the Iditarod Trail. Then, head out to Exit Glacier in the Kenai Fjords National Park. A short walk along the nature trail takes you to the face of the glacial ice. Watch for mountain goats, moose or bear on the mountainside. During the salmon runs, see salmon swimming upstream to spawn. A hearty lunch will be served at nearby Resurrection Roadhouse before you travel to the Seavey homestead and experience IdidaRide’s Wilderness Dog Sled Ride and Tour. This afternoon, depart for Anchorage on the Coastal Classic Train. Overnight Anchorage. (L)
Day 4 - Talkeetna Jetboat
Depart for Talkeetna aboard the Denali Star Train. In Talkeetna, experience a thrilling 3.5-hour exciting trip aboard the “McKinley Queen” as it whisks you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. The trip will take you on three rivers: the Talkeetna, Chulitna, and Susitna. You will travel through the Chulitna River Gorge and experience an Alaskan braided river, with a number of channels separated by small and often temporary islands. Overnight Talkeetna.

Day 5 - Denali National Park
Journey to Denali National Park aboard the Denali Star Train. This evening, you have time to explore on your own and spend the night at leisure. Overnight Denali.
Day 6 - Denali Sightseeing
Embark on a 13.5-hour, 92 mile* narrated bus tour into the heart of Denali National Park. Wildlife sightings are common, so keep your camera handy. Overnight in Denali. (L)

Day 7 - Denali National Park
The morning is yours to explore Denali. Later, take the Denali Star Train to Fairbanks, known as the Golden Heart City. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 8 - Riverboat Discovery
Take a tour on the Riverboat Discovery, a historic sternwheeler, for a glimpse of life in Interior Alaska. See dog sledding, an Alaska Indian village and much more. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 9 - Fairbanks to Anchorage
Depart this morning on the Denali Star bound for Anchorage. You have a full day onboard the train to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan Wilderness. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 10 - Prince William Sound
Depart for Whittier and Prince William Sound aboard the Glacier Discovery Train. The 26 Glacier Cruise travels over 140 miles into Prince William Sound. Watch for playful sea otters, harbour seals, kittiwakes, bears, whales or mountain goats. Get face to face with these towering masses of ice, so close you can “hear” the glaciers move and gaze at their brilliant blue hues. On the 26 Glacier Cruise, you’ll see several types of glaciers, and calvings are normally seen on each cruise. Overnight Anchorage. (L)
Day 11 - Anchorage
Your vacation concludes today when you check out of your hotel.
