ITINERARY

Day 1 - A Day in Denver
Your adventure begins in the heart of downtown Denver. Arrive at the Sheraton Denver Downtown and from there hitch a ride with the Denver City Sightseeing Tour for an exclusive introduction to the city's historic sights. The tour includes a 3-hour informational escort to many landmarks of the city's rich history you might otherwise pass over, such as the historic Larimer Square on one of Denver's oldest city blocks, incredible photo-ops of some of the city's most gorgeous Victorian architecture, and even the mansion of famous Titanic survivor, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” Your guided tour rounds itself out with visits to the United States Mint and Denver Art Museum, and views of the breathtaking city skyline against the iconic Rocky Mountain backdrop. End your day by revisiting favorite sights from the tour, as well as enjoying some shopping and dining in Denver's lively 16th Street Mall. Overnight Denver.

Day 2 - Rocky Mountain National Park Day Trip
Continue your trip by venturing into nature! Prepare to be picked up from your hotel in the morning and transported to the gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park. Your knowledgeable tour guide will not only fill you in on the amazing sights you'll see, but will also pause for plenty of incredible photo opportunities. Major highlights include a stop in the popular ski resort town of Winter Park, a drive over Berthoud Pass and the Continental Divide, and plenty of time to personally explore as much of the 265,000 acres of the Rocky Mountain National Park as you can. Day 3 - All Aboard! California Zephyr to San Francisco
Get an early start today with one of the most beautiful train trips offered in all of North America. Your ride through the Western region of the United States not only includes luxurious overnight accommodations before arriving in the Emeryville/San Francisco area, but will also lead you through some of the most resplendent sights in all of the great West. Points of interest include: the Rocky Mountains, the Sierra Nevada's, Moffat Tunnel, Winter Park, and the Truckee River. Truly, Amtrak's California Zephyr has the last word on traveling in style.

Day 4 - Arrival in Emeryville with transfer to San Francisco Wharf Area
Running across the glorious snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Zephyr travels through the Truckee River, Donner Pass, onto Reno and Sacramento, then into Emeryville/San Francisco. Once in Emeryville, you'll connect by a motorcoach to the San Francisco Ferry Building. The San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf offers exciting entertainment, from guided bike tours to sailing. Day 5 - Discover San Francisco
Start your day with a trip to prison; the nation's first maximum-security penitentiary military prison, that is. Alcatraz. Previously having housed such A-list criminals as Al “Scarface” Capone, George “Machine Gun” Kelly, and hot-headed “Bumpy” Johnson, Alcatraz was once considered one of the most dangerous and inescapable prisons in the nation. But never fear! No criminals currently reside there at this time. Alcatraz is now a beloved attraction and National Park with a scenic ferry ride transporting you to and from Pier 33 in Fisherman's Wharf. Thrills and chills guaranteed! As part of this package, conclude your day back on the mainland with a grand tour of the city, one of the most soulful cities on the West Coast. Your tour will commence with a drive along the famous waterfront, with views of the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island. Notable photo opportunities include: the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks (weather permitting), China Town, Palace of the Fine Arts, and Presidio National Park, just to name a few. Day 6 - Muir Woods & Wine Country Tour
Spend your morning strolling through the majestic beauty of Muir Woods' giant redwood sequoia trees, some of the oldest and tallest trees on earth. A rare, virgin forest (greatly aged without much human disturbance), this stunning national monument is the very definition of Zen. Take a leisurely walk through these giant reds and find your center.In the afternoon, enjoy a complimentary sampling of wines from 3 small boutique Napa or Sonoma wineries. With at least 45 minutes to relax at each winery, you'll have the opportunity to try 5 to 10 wines at each place. The best part? You can purchase as many as you like to take home. Day 7 - Tour Conclusion
