Day 1 Your Journey Begins

Board your overnight flight to Europe (please ask about our great deals).

Day 2 Welcome to Paris

On arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Insight's airport transfers depart for your hotel at 08:30, 11:00 & 13:30. The afternoon is yours to relax and settle in. Later, join your Tour Director for a warm Welcome Reception and the opportunity to mingle and get to know each other over a pleasant evening of dinner and wine.(WD)

Day 3 Paris, Romantic Capital on the Seine

In the mid 19th century, Baron Haussmann transformed much of medieval Paris into a modern city; admire his work on a morning city tour with a Local Expert. See all the main sights: Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe. Ascend to the viewing platforms of the Eiffel Tower for spectacular panoramas of the city.(BB)

Day 4 Free Time in Paris

(Relaxed Start) There is certainly no shortage of things to do and see in this great capital city. You could cruise on the Seine or ascend the hill of Montmartre by funicular, for superb panoramic views. Why not enjoy a pleasant hour or two watching the passers-by from a Parisian café or perhaps meet the enigmatic Mona Lisa in the Louvre? Maybe visit the Orangerie to admire Monet’s famous water lilies or join an experience to the country house and garden which inspired the painting.(BB)

Day 5 TGV train through Provence to Avignon

(Relaxed Start) Board your comfortable TGV train for a journey through fertile vineyards and agricultural lands to Provence. Journey to see the incredible Roman, three-tiered Pont du Gard. Onwards to the pretty village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where a sommelier will introduce you to to the famous wine. Taste the difference for yourself and learn about the different grape varieties that are allowed in the final blend of the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine. Continue to Avignon and your hotel for the next three nights.(BB / DW)

Day 6 Avignon and Arles Experience

(Relaxed Start) Head to the beautiful town of Arles, ancient capital of Gaul, to follow in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh during your orientation tour. Then return to Avignon and walk through the medieval battlements to reach the historic centre dominated by the fortified Papal Palace. The rest of the afternoon you are at leisure.(BB)

Day 7 Avignon at Leisure

(Relaxed Start) The day is at leisure for you to relax and soak up the atmosphere of Avignon. Why not take an optional experience to Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most picturesque villages in France for a visit to an olive mill and to sample some of the finest olive oil in France? In the evening, you will be offered a fine selection of local restaurants to choose from on your Dine-Around Evening. Bon appétit!(BB / DA)

Day 8 Tranquil Aix-en-Provence, St-Paul-de-Vence to Monaco

Journey to Aix-en-Provence, 'the most beautiful town in France after Paris'. See the elegant mansions and bustling cafés of the Cours Mirabeau, then continue to the hilltop village of St-Paul-de-Vence, where contemporary painters perpetuate art as a living tradition. A walk through its winding streets reveals elegant fountains, vine-covered stone walls, and views of mountains and sea. Your home for the next three nights is the Principality of Monaco, ruled by the Grimaldi family since the 13th century.(BB)

Day 9 Monaco and the Côte d’Azur Experience

Unlock the secrets of the French perfume industry with a visit to a perfumery, where fragrance experts waft exclusive scents. Back in Monaco, drive along part of the Grand Prix circuit then walk with your Tour Director through the old town. See the Royal Palace, where the Grimaldi family live, the yacht-filled harbour and visit the cathedral, housing the tombs of the late Prince Rainier and Princess Grace. The rest of the day is completely free to explore this fashionable resort or venture further afield. Day 10 Free Time in Monaco

(Relaxed Start) Easy Pace means more time at leisure. Maybe have a late breakfast, take an optional experience to the glamorous seaside resort of Nice, or try your luck in one of the casinos of Monte Carlo? Day 11 Au revoir French Riviera

Bid au revoir to the sunny French Riviera in the morning. Insight's airport transfers arrive at Nice Airport at 06:15 & 09:00.(BB)
