Day 3 Discovering London
An included half day sightseeing tour of London's West End shows you all the major sights - Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. Your Tour Director is also on hand today for help and advice.(Full Breakfast)
Day 4 London, Stratford-upon-Avon and Medieval York
At 07:30, meet your Tour Director and journey north to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon to uncover the facts about his life and family. On arrival in York, stroll the narrow lanes of the Tudor Shambles and view York Minster, England's largest medieval cathedral. Later, join your Tour Director for a warm and friendly Welcome Reception with drinks and the opportunity to mingle and get to know each other over a pleasant evening of dinner and wine.(WD)
Day 5 Over the Border to Edinburgh
See a part of Hadrian's Wall, then pass Jedburgh Abbey en route to Edinburgh for your two-night stay in this stunning city.(FB)
Day 6 Edinburgh, Scotland's Capital of Culture
In the morning, see Holyrood Palace at the end of the Royal Mile, then continue past the Scott Monument to the New Town, before joining a Local Expert for a visit to Edinburgh Castle, home of Scotland’s crown jewels. The afternoon is at leisure. At night, selected departures attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the castle.(FB)
Day 7 Through the Trossachs and by Loch Lomond to Glasgow
Drive via historic Bannockburn and Stirling. Enjoy the scenery of the Trossachs. Drive along the banks of Loch Lomond. Continue to Glasgow for an orientation tour.(FB)
Day 8 Gretna Green and the Glorious Lake District
Drive via Gretna to the English Lake District, with scenery so beautiful it inspired a host of writers. Learn about the life of William Wordsworth and visit his grave in the village of Grasmere.(FB / D)
Day 9 Ludlow, the Welsh Marches and to Cardiff
Stop in ancient Ludlow, one of England's most attractive towns, dominated by its castle, rich in tragic royal history. Why not spend time exploring the traditional open-air market, admiring the local crafts and perhaps sampling the produce? Afterwards, cross into Southern Wales and head for the capital city of Cardiff.(FB)
Day 10 Georgian Bath, Glastonbury and Cornwall
Cross the Severn Bridge back into England and drive to the Georgian city of Bath - its curative waters have been famous since Roman times. Sightseeing includes a visit to the Roman Baths and you also see the 15th century Abbey Church. Continue on to Glastonbury, steeped in legend, before heading to your fabulous resort in the Cornish countryside.(FB)
Day 11 Plymouth and the Cornish Coast Excursion
In the morning, move on to a quaint Cornish fishing village, then continue along to Plymouth, on the Cornish coast, to see the Mayflower Steps, Barbican, Citadel and Plymouth Hoe. Return via the hilly countryside of Dartmoor. Complete the day with a Celebration Dinner and wine.(FB / CD)
Day 12 Salisbury Plain, Ancient Stonehenge and London
Cross Salisbury Plain to visit Stonehenge, the world's most famous prehistoric monument, its true meaning lost in the mists of time. In the afternoon, return to London’s Grosvenor Hotel.(FB)

Your journey draws to a close after breakfast this morning.
