Day 2 – Private tour of New Delhi
Enjoy a lavish buffet breakfast and a relaxing morning. At midday, your private car, driver and guide will be waiting to take you on a tour of New Delhi’s ancient and modern landmarks. Your sightseeing begins at Qutab Minarv#WHS#. This is the tallest brick minaret in the world, a gracefully fluted and tapered tower that was completed in the 14th century with beautiful terra cotta embellishments and balconies.  Then drive along the elegant Rajpath to marvel at Rashtrapati Bhawan; built in the early 20th century as the Viceroys residence, it is now the official home of the President of India. At Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the city’s largest Sikh Temple, you’ll gain fascinating insight into India’s cultural diversity. Built in 1783, this impressive landmark is easily recognized by its gleaming gold-domed tower. This evening, you’ll enjoy an à la carte dinner with wine at your luxury hotel.  Meals B+D

Day 3 – Colorful Old Delhi
After breakfast, your personal guide will be waiting to share with you the remarkable sights and sounds of Old Delhi. Begin with Jama Masjid, Indias largest mosque, where you can ascend for a breathtaking view of Old and New Delhi. Then hop aboard a traditional pedicab - a delightful way to immerse in the colors and rhythms of the city. Step off at the bustling and fragrant Spice Market and explore among the many vendors as your personal guide offers insight into Indias enduring cultural and culinary traditions. Returning to your hotel, you’ll drive past the Red Fort; completed in 1648, this spectacular fortified palace was the principle residence of the Mughal emperors for more than 100 years. With our compliments, you’ll end your day with a relaxing and rejuvenating massage at the Oberoi Spa. This evening is yours to dine where you wish.  Meals B

Day 4 – Agra + The Taj Mahal
Enjoy an early breakfast before we chauffeur you to the rail station to board the Gatimaan Express train. The trip takes less than two hours and you’ll enjoy air-conditioned Executive Coach comfort as you make the journey to Agra, the venerated 16th-century capital of the Lodhi Dynasty. On arrival, you’ll tour the Taj Mahal #WHS#, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a lasting tribute to his beloved wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Completed in 1652, skilled artisans from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy worked for 17 years with some 20,000 laborers to construct this magnificent edifice. After lunch at the lavish Oberoi Amarvilas, you’ll enjoy a private tour of the Agra Fort  . Behind the impressive 1.5-mile long fortress walls that surround the complex, youll discover lovely grounds, historic mosques, grand audience halls and fairytale palaces. Dating back to the 16th century and reflecting elements of both Hindu and Islamic architectural styles, this fort is more aptly described as a magnificent, walled palatial city. After sightseeing, you’ll take the early evening Gatimaan Express train back to Delhi. Executive Class seats and chauffeured rail station transfers are again included.  Meals B+L

Day 5 – Onward to Jaipur
After breakfast, you’ll be chauffeured to the airport for your included flight to Jaipur, India’s fabled Pink City. On arrival, our private car and driver will take you to the Oberoi Rajvilas. Our lavish luxury resort is set on 35 lush acres around an18th-century Shiva temple. The rest of this afternoon and the evening are yours to enjoy as you wish. Take in the delightful setting of your luxury hotel or step out to experience Jaipur at your own pace.  Meals B

Day 6 – Exploring India’s Fabled Pink City
Founded in the 11th century and constructed from yellow and pink sandstone and gleaming white marble, the spectacular Amber Fort #WHS# just outside of town stands in testament to the once-powerful and never-conquered Rajput Kingdom. Entering through the towering Sun Gate, your guided tour reveals lavish courtyards, beautifully decorated halls and the dazzling Chamber of Mirrors. Back in the city, youll see Hawa Mahal, the oft-photographed Palace of Winds. Built at the end of the 18th century and comprised of delicately latticed windows, its ingenious design allowed women of royal families to remain concealed while they observed the hustle and bustle of the street below. At the City Palace Museum, our knowledgeable guide will enhance your tour of its extensive and carefully curated collection including miniature paintings, ancient weapons and traditional Rajasthani royal costumes. Youll also visit Jantar Mantar #WHS#, an observatory built in 1726. Youre sure to be astounded by these architectural stone instruments – skillfully designed and constructed to measure time, predict eclipses and track the movements of the stars and planets; the largest instrument stands 90 feet tall and all are amazing accurate. Jaipur is known for the extraordinary skill of its artisans and after sightseeing youll have time to explore the citys colorful bazaars. Brilliantly tie-dyed fabrics, miniature paintings, finely carved statues, metalwork and pottery are some of the many things you’ll find.  Meals B+L
