ITINERARY

Day 1 – Welcome to Luang Prabang
On arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured into the heart of town to your choice of deluxe or luxury hotel. The rest of this day is yours to relax or explore as you wish. All of our hotels are centrally located making it easy to sightsee, shop and dine on your own.

Day 2 – Temples + Waterfalls
After breakfast your local guide and driver will meet you at the hotel, and then depart for the journey out of town to Kuang Si Waterfalls. The distance is about 30km passing through very scenic Laotian countryside, with rice paddies and many ethnic minority villages along the way. It is possible to stop and visit the Khmu minority village of Ban Thapaene, or one of the H’mong villages along the journey. On arrival at Kuang Sii, if water levels permit, there is time to take a refreshing dip in the falls. These beautiful falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools. On the way back, stop to visit Buffalo Dairy Farm – which offer a fun & interactive activity to get to know the animals on farm and how sustainable protection in agriculture. Having a wine & cheese tasting before return to the town.  Afternoon start with visiting Wat Xieng Thong, one of the largest and most decorative temples. Then continue on to the former Royal Palace, a commanding structure in the centre of town that until 1946 was the heart of the Lang Xang Kingdom. Today it is the National Museum, and its halls contain rare religious and cultural artefacts. Next, climb 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi and enjoy panoramic views of the city.  End of this day by sunset cruise on Mekong River to enjoy the beauty of peace along riverbank. Meals B  

Day 3 – Free Day in Luang Prabang
This entire day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Your hotel’s central location, surrounded by shopping, dining and cultural attractions, makes it easy to explore at your own pace. If you prefer additional guided sightseeing, you can choose from a wide variety of private tours. Meals B

Day 4 – Depart Luang Prabang
You’ll be chauffeured to the airport or rail station for your onward journey.  Meals B
