Nayara Hangaroa will immerse guests in the culture of the island and offer unforgettable experiences like sunset over the moai in Tahai and hiking Ara O Te Ao, one of the oldest paths on the island leading to a massive crater. Nayara Hangaroa is a celebration of Rapa Nui culture. Every corner is inspired in the island’s traditions and history. All design elements in common areas of the hotel speak of the island and its culture. The combination between design and construction in different places evoke aspects of the Rapanui culture—for example, the reception area imitates old houses that were made with boats. Elements found in rooms and common areas have been made mainland by artisans that, by using noble materials, create unique pieces such as handmade vanities or the one-piece clay bathtubs made in large ovens. In our cuisine, we prioritize making the most of the different fish species and seafood, as well as the different local suppliers who provide everything—from vegetables, fruits and other—in a fresh and organic way.
