About this property
19th-century beautiful gem.
Poised on a hill overlooking the Bay of Naples, Grand Hotel Parker’s is the city’s first and oldest luxury hotel. The elegant public rooms are adorned with original antiques, and bronze sculptures gleam under chandeliers.
The hotel exudes an effortless and homey ambiance. Guests are invited to enjoy the breathtaking full à la carte breakfast, the mouth-watering Mamma-style Neapolitan cuisine at the Bidder Terrace, and the two Michelin-starred gastronomy at the George restaurant. Head to the rooftop bar for a chilled negroni and watch the moon rise on the Bay of Naples.
The Backstory
At the end of the 19th century, George Parker Bidder III, a wealthy English marine biologist, who spent much of his time at the zoological department of the Royal Villa Comunale, saved the former Hotel Tramontano Beau Rivale, where he was a loyal guest, from financial ruin. Grand Hotel Parker’s as it became known, transformed into the select retreat for the literary and cultural elite of British high society. Fast forward to the aftermath of WW II and Grand Hotel Parker’s is once again rescued but this time by Francesco Paolo Avallone, patron of the fine arts.
The Grand Hotel Parker's is reborn. Massive restoration is underway with great detail and attention paid to preserving the priceless original features.
