About this property
Located at the top of the South Island The Marlborough Boutique hotel nestles in 16 acres of sprawling gardens and is surrounded by vineyards. In the midst of the world renown Marlborough wine region the largest in New Zealand. The building started its life in 1901 as a Convent and after a move some 30 years ago to its current location it feels as if it has always been here. In 2017 it went under a complete renovation to create a 10 room Boutique Hotel with extensive public areas, private house bar, large outdoor fire and extensive gardens to relax in. The contemporary decor is beautiful melded with some of the historic elements making this a warm and inviting space to came back to after a days exploration of the region. 2021 a further development has created a stunning restaurant and garden deck perfect for leisurely lunches and dinners whilst looking into the gardens. With its own vineyard, kitchen garden, croquet, petanque, frizbee golf, heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts there is plenty to keep one active. The Marlborough is the ultimate grand country NZ estate to call home whilst enjoying the world famous wines of the region or enjoying the stunning scenery and waterways of the Marlborough sounds.
