About this property
Zannier Sonop is a luxurious tented camp nestled at the Southern extremity of the Namib desert in Namibia. Designed as a refined British colonial experience from the 1920’s, this out-of-the-ordinary lodge offers a perfect retreat in a stunning panoramic desert landscape. Constructed on top of boulders, the ten spacious tents aim to offer a unique journey through time. Richly furnished with antiques, colourful carpets and precious wood, they are an invitation to live the life of yesteryear’s wealthy explorers. All tents feature roll-up canvas openings with panoramic views, telescopes, a four-poster king-size bed, air-conditioning, heating, a vintage bathtub with combined rainshower and double vanity. Every evening guests are invited to enjoy a gastronomic experience, a gala-dinner style where silverware and candelabras set the mood served around a large communal dining table. The cocktail & cigar lounge with a billiard table and parlour games offering a selection of cocktails and exclusive spirits. Zannier Sonop also offers a spa with 2 double treatment rooms, a fitness center and heated outdoor infinity pool. Zannier Sonop also has its own landing airstrip, allowing guests to access the lodge from any African airport with small planes. The nearest international airport is Windhoek Hosea Kutako airport (approximately about 1h20 away by plane).
