Rosewood Little Dix Bay

Created by Laurance Rockefeller in 1964, this 500-acre garden paradise is situated along the crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands on lush Virgin Gorda. Set around a crescent-shaped bay and protected by a coral reef, the exclusive boutique resort of Rosewood Little Dix Bay is an idyllic setting of refined, natural elegance. Following its golden anniversary, the legendary property closed to undergo a multi-million-dollar renovation and reopened in January 2020. In keeping with Rockefeller’s original vision, the reimagined resort is still composed of a limited number of structures positioned to follow the lines of the landscape. Local cultural motifs and indigenous materials have been incorporated into the resort’s architecture, and the interiors reflect the spirit of the midcentury modern design movement which prevailed at the time of the resort’s inception. The resort features 82 accommodations, an extensive water sports (diving, sailing, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling), nature trails, proximity to the famous “Baths of Virgin Gorda,” fitness center, six tennis courts, two pickle ball courts, children’s program (Rosewood Explorers and Rose Buds®), gift shop, activity center, three restaurants (Sugar Mill, Pavilion, Reef House), the Rum Room bar, and our beachfront swimming pool overlooking the ocean and spa infinity edge pool.
