About the Port
Aldabra Atoll lies in the far southwest of the Seychelles, closer to the African coast than to Mahé, and ranks among the largest atolls on earth. Four coral islands enclose a broad, shallow lagoon that has earned the atoll UNESCO World Heritage status for its exceptional biodiversity and undisturbed natural beauty. Giant tortoises roam here in numbers found nowhere else, alongside seabirds and reptiles found nowhere but this remote outpost.
Beneath the surface, the lagoon and surrounding reefs teem with fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and coral, while hawksbill and green turtles nest along the beaches and manta rays, sharks, and dolphins pass through offshore waters. Access to Aldabra is tightly controlled to protect this fragile ecosystem, making a visit feel like a rare privilege.
