About the Port
Jumièges Abbey stands along the Seine in Normandy, its roofless nave and towering limestone walls tracing the outline of one of France's great Benedictine houses. Founded in 654, the abbey grew within its first decades to house hundreds of monks and lay brothers, and its ruins today remain among the most evocative monastic remnants in the region.
