About the Port
Founded by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago at the strategic confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, Koblenz blends deep history with a relaxed, garden-filled present. Its long past as a fortress city and wine hub has left a layered architectural mix of historic and contemporary buildings, along with a cultural character shaped by both French and German influence.
