About the Port
Mariehamn is the capital of Åland, a Swedish-speaking archipelago region governed as an autonomous part of Finland. Tree-lined streets flanked by colorful wooden houses lead toward a waterfront promenade, giving the small city an unhurried, garden-like character shaped equally by Finnish and Scandinavian influences.
