About the Port

From 1364 to 1477 the city was home to the powerful Dukes of Burgundy, whose legacy survives in the Palace of the Dukes and a medieval center rich with half-timbered houses, church spires, and art museums. Dijon is also famed as the historic home of French mustard-making, a tradition still woven into the city's identity.
Ships calling under the Dijon name actually dock along the Saône in Saint-Jean-de-Losne, roughly a thirty-minute walk from the train station, with organized transfers the practical way to reach Dijon itself.
