About the Port
Tucked within the English Narrows of Chile's Inner Fjords, Puerto Edén is the only settlement inside the Chilean Inside Passage, a landscape of steep mountains and dense Magellanic sub-polar forest. Reached only by water, the small community is linked by wooden boardwalks and has long been home to some of the last Kawésqar people, one of Patagonia's Indigenous seafaring cultures. Nearby, Pio XI Glacier, the largest icefield outside the polar regions, spills toward the water in slow blue folds.
