Relax and join us onboard the Rocky Mountaineer for two days of all-daylight rail travel through Canada's West and the Canadian Rockies.
Day 1: Lake Louise to Kamloops
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Lake Louise Station at 8:30 am MT to travel from the Lake Louise to Kamloops, located in the heart of British Columbia?s interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today?s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie ? where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. You will arrive in Kamloops between 6:30pm and 8:00pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city, or relaxing in your hotel. All hotels in Kamloops are of moderate standard: your hotel will be assigned post-booking.
Day 2: Kamloops to Vancouver
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 7:35am PT. On today?s journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell?s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. You will arrive in Vancouver between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT.
