ITINERARY

Lautoka, Viti Levu, Fiji
Bula! Welcome to Fiji and the nation’s second largest city, Lautoka, nestled in the heart of sugar-cane country. This sweet start to your voyage opens a world of golden beaches, turquoise seascapes, dense jungle and the always-smiling Fijian locals. Your journey into wonder begins with a warm greeting from the crew as you step on board Scenic Eclipse II. Be warmly greeted with a glass of Champagne, meet the Captain and crew toast to the voyage ahead as you set sail into the sparkling South Pacific. Please book your flight to arrive into Nadi prior to 02:00 PM.

At sea
Today take some time to explore the ship and familiarise yourself with all the areas on board your new ultra-luxury home. Visit the Sky Bar and outdoor Vitality Pool on Deck 10. Step into the tranquil Senses Spa# on Deck 6 with its steam rooms, saunas, plunge pool and exclusive KLAFS Salt Therapy Lounge. Stop for a coffee or a cocktail at one of the bars and lounges on board or curl up with a good book in the library of the Observation Lounge. Then join the Discovery Team in the state-of-the-art theatre for an introductory lecture where they’ll share their insights about your upcoming ports.

Tanna Island, Vanuatu
Look out for smoke in the air as you approach Tanna this morning. Mount Yasur is regarded as the world’s most accessible active volcano, regularly shooting sparks into the sky. Captain James Cook first observed ash eruptions in 1774, and the mountain is considered a sacred area by members of the island’s John Frum Cargo Cult, who believe their deity resides inside. Be welcomed ashore by the community as you listen to the women’s choir and watch local performances. Visit Mount Yasur, walk up a trail up to the rim and peer into the fiery depths of the volcano’s crater. Discovery: Weather permitting, the full range of Discovery excursions will be available today. Explore by kayak and stand-up paddleboard, go snorkelling, or book an optional helicopterˆ or submersibleˆ tour.

Lifou Island, New Caledonia
A coral atoll atop a collapsed volcano, Lifou is the largest and highest of the Loyalty Islands. It’s a vision of white sand, green palms and sparkling turquoise water. In the north, the coastline ends abruptly in cliffs, while the south is a long expanse of beaches. Further inland, the rich Kanak culture is proudly upheld by the local community. If you feel like a relaxing day, set up your towel on the powdery white sand and listen to the gentle lapping of the ocean. Freechoice: The Cliffs of Jokin: Visit a tropical forest in the heart of the Mucaweng tribe and learn about vanilla harvesting. Then marvel at Jokins towering cliffs, made of fossilised coral. Amedee Island
Todays stop is Amédée Island, a beautiful coral atoll near Noumea, New Caledonia, famous for its white sand beaches, clear waters, and vibrant marine life. The island is also home to the 56-meter tall Amédée Lighthouse, offering stunning views of the lagoon and ocean. Discovery: Weather permitting, the full range of Discovery excursions will be available today.

At sea
Freshly squeezed juice, steaming barista-made coffee or tea delivered to your door by the butler will help you start your day. Nestle into one of the cabanas on Deck 10 to welcome the dawn before visiting the gym or the studio for a Pilates class, some guided stretching or aerial yoga. Enjoy an al fresco lunch today at the Yacht Club for delightfully curated courses and a chance to meet your fellow voyagers. Spend the afternoon at leisure in your luxurious suite or head for the state-of-the-art theatre to hear today’s fascinating lecture from the Discovery Team, which will focus on tomorrow’s port. Then choose from up to 10 world-class dining experiences for dinner.

Norfolk Island, Australia
Roughly halfway between New Zealand and Australia, this tiny island is an outlying self- governing Australian territory with a tumultuous past. Claimed by Captain James Cook for the British in 1774, it was settled as a convict colony in 1788 and became known as Hell in the Pacific. In 1855, Queen Victoria gave the island to the descendants of the Bounty mutineers, who had outgrown their home on Pitcairn Island. Today, Norfolk remains a wild place, with dramatic landscapes, towering pines and pounding surf. Bay of Islands, New Zealand
The Bay of Islands is one of the world’s most spectacular sailing destinations, so make sure you’re on your verandah or the Observation Terrace as you arrive mid-morning. With its unique sub-tropical climate, around 150 islands and thousands of postcard-perfect coves, this is a little slice of paradise on the North Island. Scenic Eclipse II will anchor off the coast of Paihia, famous for its watersports, offering kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, and more. Disembark after breakfast as you say farewell to the crew and take away memories of a truly unforgettable cruise.
