Day 1

Learn the art of living the good life as you brace yourself for crisp sea breezes and hearty Nova Scotian hospitality in Halifax, your launch pad to an effortless discovery of Canada’s Maritimes. Join your Travel Director and fellow travelers this evening for dinner.
Day 2

Discover the Maritime History of Halifax

Join your Local Specialist for morning Halifax sightseeing followed by a guided visit of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. From small craft boatbuilding to World War convoys, the days of sail to the age of steam, the Titanic to the Halifax explosion, you’ll discover the stories and people that defined Nova Scotia and its relationship with the sea. Then, go on a guided exploration of the Citadel National Historic Site, built in the mid-18th century to defend the town from various enemies.
Day 3

Hear the Legends of Nova Scotia

Explore history and living traditions on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience discovering the legends of the Indigenous Mi’kmaq people during a visit to the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Center. Traverse the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island and arrive in the village of Baddeck, named from the Mi’kmaq word “Abadak” meaning “place with an island near. This evening, join a traditional Cape Breton ceilidh with live Gaelic music, local drinks and regional flavors.
Day 4

Traverse the Cabot Trail

Today, enjoy the dramatic coastal views and highland scenery offering an endless source of artistic inspiration as you wind through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Unspoiled natural beauty and sweeping coastal vistas provide a mesmerizing backdrop for your drive along the Cabot Trail. Keep an eye out for moose and bald eagles as you travel in search of whales in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence. Return to Baddeck later for free time to explore the town.
Day 5

Tease Your Taste Buds on Prince Edward Island

This morning, pay tribute to one of the world’s most famous inventors at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site getting a glimpse into his mind and seeing his inventions spanning airplanes and kites, to deaf education and artificial respiration. Unlock his legacy exploring artifacts, photos and full-scale replicas that mark his career as an engineer, inventor, scientist, and humanitarian. Then cross the Northumberland Strait to Prince Edward Island. Pass pastoral landscapes and gabled farmhouses en route to Charlottetown. Your Stays With Stories at the Rodd Hotel was built in 1931 and reflects such luxurious features as barrel-vaulted ceilings and a grand lobby. Tonight, enjoy a dinner at the PEI Preserve Company.
Day 6

Uncover the History of Prince Edward Island

Join a Local Specialist for an exploration of Prince Edward Island, starting with Prince Edward Island National Park, and a visit to the literary landmark of Green Gables, made famous in the children's books by L.M. Montgomery. Step back in time to a simpler life over a Be My Guest experience lunch overlooking the beauty of Brackley Bay. Learn about the property’s history from the current proprietor of the island’s oldest running tourist accommodation, Robbie Shaw, run by the same family for four generations.
Day 7

Get Your Lobster Fix at Shediac Bay

Travel to New Brunswick, crossing the Northumberland Strait via the engineering feat that is the Confederation Bridge. Head to the waters of Shediac Bay, where you’ll celebrate all things lobster with your Local Specialist. Get a closer look at Acadian culture while diving into the lobster industry, learning about old fishing techniques that helped shape the way of life of the region. Then, enjoy a delicious lobster lunch served local style on board the boat (weather permitting). Journey south to the Bay of Fundy in search of the world’s highest tides. Join another Local Specialist to visit the eroded Hopewell Rocks and enjoy a rare opportunity to walk on the ocean floor (tide permitting). Your overnight stop is in the port city of Saint John.
Day 8

See The Fishing Heritage Of Lunenburg

Leave the cliffs and coves of Saint John behind this morning to board a ferry to cross the Bay of Fundy to Digby. In UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, join a tour with a Local Specialist walking past 18th-century and Victorian architecture as your guide shares folklore and local facts. Then delve into Nova Scotia’s rich fishing heritage visiting the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic and see real tall ships. On any given day, you may see a launch of a model schooner or learn how to hook mats or spin wool. Continue on to Halifax to relive the highlights of your trip over a dinner with your fellow travelers this evening.
Day 9

Enjoy the Ocean Breeze at Peggy's Cove

This morning, breathe in the fresh ocean air and share in the inspiration enjoyed by painters and photographers who visit Peggy's Cove on St. Margaret's Bay. Arrive back in Halifax at approximately 12:00 pm, where you'll head to Stanfield International Airport or consider extending your stay in Halifax.
