Day 1 - Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver, check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring this scenic city on your own. Included is admission to the Vancouver Lookout, offering panoramic views of the city. Your centrally-located hotel puts you steps away from many of the city's attractions, shops, and restaurants. Day 2 - Vancouver Sightseeing / VIA Rail to Toronto
Spend the morning taking in all Vancouver has to offer. Visit Granville Island, historic Gastown, or take a hike through Stanley Park. This afternoon, transfer by taxi (included) from your hotel to the train station, settle into your Sleeper Plus accommodations on VIA Rail’s Canadian and prepare for your trip to the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Day 3 - En Route to Toronto
Awake this morning to the beauty of the Canadian Rockies as the train heads towards Jasper. Upon arrival, disembark the train to stretch your legs in this wildlife sanctuary. Jasper is said to be one of the most photographed locations in the world. As the Canadian continues eastward, enjoy dinner in the Dining Car, visit with your fellow passengers and settle in for the evening as your train brings you closer to Toronto. Overnight train. Day 4 - East to Toronto
Today's travels take you through Saskatoon, Canada's leader in the high technology and mining industries, and Melville, named after Charles Melville Hays, President of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad Company. Day 5 - VIA Rail to Toronto
A highlight of today's scenic trip includes Longlac, which, located at the northern tip of Long Lake, played an important role as part of the historic canoe route for fur traders. Overnight train. (B, L, D)
Day 6 - Arrival in Toronto
Your train is scheduled to arrive in Toronto this afternoon. On your last day on the Canadian, spend time in the Park Car enjoying its three salons and observation deck as well as the Skyline Car with an observation dome offering 360-degree views of the ever-changing landscape. Day 7 - Visiting Niagara Falls
This morning, depart on a full-day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls. Travel through the orchard laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Highlights of today's excursion include a lunch buffet while overlooking the waterfall, plus a trip of the world-famous The Hornblower, which travels to the base of the majestic Horseshoe Falls. Also included is a trip along the beautiful River Road, which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge. Stops are made at the Floral Clock and at the historical community of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto. Overnight Toronto. (L)

Day 8 - Toronto to Montreal
Spend the morning at your leisure, enjoying Toronto as you like it. Depart on a mid-day train to Montreal on VIA Rail's Corridor Service. Get acquainted with the city on your own this evening. Overnight Montreal.
Day 9 - Heart of Montreal Motorcoach Tour
Enjoy a tour of Montreal as your guide introduces you to the highlights of this diverse city that's full of history. Your motorcoach will stop at selected sites where you can grab pictures and explore further. Discover Old Montreal, the Olympic Stadium, Mount Royal Park Lookout and Saint Joseph's Oratory. Overnight Montreal.

Day 10 - End of Tour
