Return to Auxerre, the original capital of
Lower Burgundy, to explore the medieval
town center and view its fine churches. This
afternoon, cruise past rich pasturelands
with grazing Charolais cattle to Mailly-la-Ville.

Enjoy a morning excursion to the
charming medieval village of Noyers,
nestled in a loop of the River Serein, with
its picturesque half-timbered houses
and cobbled streets. In the afternoon,
cruise past the Saussois Cliffs, home to an
international rock climbing center. There
are wonderful opportunities for walking
before dinner this evening.

Day 3: TUESDAY
After breakfast, visit V?(C)zelay, one of Burgundy's most famous treasures with its Roman Basilique Ste-Madeleine. There is time to browse in the craft shops and take in the views before a special lunch at the acclaimed restaurant, L'Esperance, at Saint-P??re-sous-V?(C)zelay. Returning to 'La Belle ??poque,' cruise to the evening mooring at Lucy-sur-Yonne.

Day 4: WEDNESDAY
After breakfast, cruise through the beautiful countryside to Clamecy for a tour of the cathedral and a visit to the Logging and Barging Museum. The narrow streets are lined with ancient buildings, and there are ample shopping opportunities. In the afternoon, visit Ch??teau de Bazoches, home of Marquis de Vauban, one of the foremost military engineers of his age. The ch??teau's illustrious list of visitors includes King Philippe-Auguste and Richard the
Lionheart. Return to the barge for a farewell dinner this evening.

Disembark after breakfast to transfer back to Hotel Amp??re in Paris, where your tour ends.
