Enjoy a morning excursion to the charming medieval village of Noyers, nestled in a loop of the River Serein, with its picturesque half-timbered houses and cobbled streets. In the afternoon, cruise past the Saussois Cliffs, home to an international rock climbing center. There are wonderful opportunities for walking before dinner this evening. After breakfast, visit V?(C)zelay, one of Burgundy's most famous treasures with its Roman Basilique Ste-Madeleine. There is time to browse in the craft shops and take in the views before a special lunch at the acclaimed restaurant, L'Esperance, at Saint-P??re-sous-V?(C)zelay. After breakfast, cruise through the beautiful countryside to Clamecy for a tour of the cathedral and a visit to the Logging and Barging Museum. The narrow streets are lined with ancient buildings, and there are ample shopping opportunities. In the afternoon, visit Ch??teau de Bazoches, home of Marquis de Vauban, one of the foremost military engineers of his age.
