This morning visit the charming capital city of Luxembourg. This 1,000-year-old city is complete with cobbled streets and the imposing walls of a fascinating fortress built on a promontory. This afternoon, cruise to the German town of Trier.

Day 1
After breakfast, tour the city of Trier, one of the oldest in Germany. In the third century, it was capital of the Occidental Roman Empire. The remarkable collection of Roman ruins has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. After lunch, continue cruising to Piesport with a stop to taste the famous Riesling, Piesporter Goldtropfchen, at a local cellar. 'La Nouvelle Etoile' moors for the night at Bernkastel, often called the "Pearl of the Moselle."

Day 2
Continue cruising along the River Moselle today to Zell, a beautiful river town that is also famous for its wine. Sample the excellent local vintage, Schwarze Katze, at a local cellar with time at leisure.

Day 3
'La Nouvelle Etoile' follows the winding river this morning on a leisurely cruise past hillsides that are cultivated with vines as far as the eye can see. From Cochem, drive to Castle Burg Eltz, a romantic fortress dating from the Middle Ages. Return to Cochem for overnight mooring where the town's own castle, the imposing Reichsburg, rises more than 325 feet above the river.

Day 4
After breakfast, cruise to Koblenz, a 2,000-year-old city at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. Visit historic St. Castor Basilica and the monumental statue of Emperor William I with time at leisure for a stroll or some shopping. 'La Nouvelle Etoile' hosts a special farewell dinner this evening.

After breakfast, transfer back to Frankfurt where your tour ends.
