Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Arrive in bustling Buenos Aires, where are met by your Abercrombie & Kent representative and driven to your hotel guaranteed for early check-in. After settling in, meet your guide for a neighborhood tour, including a visit to famous Recoleta cemetery. Spend the remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Days 2-3: Buenos Aires | History Meets Tango
Begin today exploring the city’s historic and political heart, starting at the Plaza de Mayo. Surrounded by the town hall, the colonial city hall and the Metropolitan Cathedral, it gives way to Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), where Evita's balcony resides. Proceed to cobblestoned San Telmo and the colorful La Boca neighborhood, where you stroll along Caminito Street. Along the way, pause for a cup of coffee at a classic cafe. On your first evening, gather for dinner and a tango performance at storied Café de los Angelitos. The following day is yours to spend at leisure.
Day 4: Cataratas de Iguassú | Thundering Falls
Fly to Puerto Iguassú, gateway to Iguassú Falls. Your A&K representative meets and transfers you to your hotel, a verdant property with direct access to the Iguassú River.
Days 5-6: Cataratas de Iguassú | Cascading Water
Begin exploring lush Iguassú National Park, a vast forest populated with Brazilian walnut, cedar and peroba trees. As you make your way to the breathtaking falls, keep watch for colorful macaws, toucans and parrots as well as monkeys, crocodiles, armadillos and jaguars. Upon arriving on the Brazilian side of the falls, you’re met with 275 cascades, spanning gulf of nearly two miles. Proceed to a catwalk, which takes you within arm’s reach of the plummeting chasm. You may also choose to climb a 115-foot, wooden staircase to observe the falls from above. Spend the following day experiencing the Argentinean side of the falls, strolling along footbridges and roads that are in close proximity to the thunderous water. Set out to see Devil’s Gorge; the panoramic upper trail; and the catwalks of the lower trail, which offers impressive views from below. Then, take a thrilling jungle truck ride along the Yacaratia trail to Port Macuco. Once there, transfer to motorboats and navigate the Lower Iguassú River.
Day 7: Iguassú / Depart Buenos Aires
Transfer from Cataratas del Iguassú to the airport, and fly to Buenos Aires to board your international flight.
