ITINERARY
ITINERARYDay 1 - SUNDAY
Meet in Paris and transfer to ‘Grand Cru,’ moored in the village of Pontailler-sur-Saône. A welcome reception awaits, with time to relax before a first gourmet dinner on board.
Day 2 - MONDAY
This morning, visit 18th-century Château d'Arcelot with its beautifully-crafted Grand Salon and magnificent English-style gardens. After a tasting of locally-produced specialties, return to the barge for lunch and a leisurely afternoon cruise to St-Jean-de-Losne.
Day 3 - TUESDAY
Cruise through pastoral countryside to Verdun-sur-le-Doubs for an excursion to Beaune, Burgundy's wine capital. Visit 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu, a remarkably preserved medieval hospital, with time to browse in the shops and galleries or enjoy a coffee on the square.
Day 4 - WEDNESDAY
After a leisurely morning on board your barge, visit the riverside town of Chalon-sur-Saône where the bustling Place Saint-Vincent is lined with boutiques, galleries and cafés. Visit an artisan shop to watch master chocolatiers at work, sampling their delicious creations.
Day 5 - THURSDAY
This morning, cruise to Chagny for a special lunch ashore at the Michelin-starred Maison Lameloise. Continue to the prestigious vineyards of Château de Chassagne-Montrachet for a private tasting of boutique wines.
Day 6 - FRIDAY
A final cruise to St-Léger-sur-Dheune precedes your excursion to Château de la Rochepot, a turreted Burgundian fortress dating from the 12th century. Back on board your barge, join fellow travellers for a celebratory farewell dinner.
Day 7 - SATURDAY
After breakfast, transfer to your Paris hotel, concluding your magical journey.
