Day 1 - Arrive Mumbai, India
Arrive in Mumbai this evening. After clearing customs and
immigration, you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 - Mumbai
Spend the morning at leisure. After lunch, set out to explore
Mumbai, seeing the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site; Mani Bhawan; the Prince of Wales Museum
(Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum); and the Dhobi Ghat. Then, gather
with fellow guests for welcome cocktails, followed by dinner.
Day 3 - Gir Forest National Park
Around midday, fly to Diu, set along the Arabian Sea coast. Upon arrival, travel several hours to Gir and check in to your hotel at the edge of Gir Forest.
Day 4 - Gir Forest National Park
This morning and afternoon, enjoy game viewing in Gir Forest
National Park. Take an adventurous Jeep safari in search of
leopards, jungle cats, hyenas and chinkaras (Indian gazelles).
Gir is the last remaining habitat of the endangered Asiatic lion,
making it one of Asia’s most important protected areas.
Day 5 - Gir Forest National Park
Enjoy another early morning of game viewing — often the best
time of day to spot these amazing animals. Return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a drive to Gondal to see Naulakha Palace and the Maharajah’s amazing private automobile collection. Next drive to the airport in Rajkot for a flight to Mumbai.
Day 6 - Banjaar Tola, Kanha National Park
After breakfast, board your short flight to Raipur. Enjoy
lunch, followed by a several-hour drive to Kanha, where your
hotel overlooks the lush forests and grassy meadows of Kanha
National Park.
Day 8 - Banjaar Tola, Kanha National Park
Each day, take in an early morning and afternoon of game viewing
in Kanha, one of India’s most famous national parks. Among the sal and bamboo forests and grassy meadows, search for the
Bengal tiger and spot an abundance of deer, sloth bears, leopards
and more.
Day 9 - Bandhavgarh National Park
After breakfast, drive several hours to Bandhavgarh National
Park, which includes a renowned tiger reserve and a high density
of these elusive creatures. One of India’s most beautiful national
parks, it is nestled among the tropical forests, woodlands, rocky
hills and flat grasslands of the Vindhya and Satpura Ranges.
Day 11 - Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives, looking out for
the Bengal tiger, as well as leopards and wild boars.
Day 12 - Delhi
After breakfast, travel several hours to Jabalpur airport for a
flight to Delhi. This evening, meet with fellow travellers over
farewell cocktails, followed by dinner at the hotel.
Day 13 - Delhi
After breakfast, explore the city of New Delhi. India’s vibrant,
bustling capital has many highlights, including relics of bygone
empires. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore on your own.
Day 14 - Depart Delhi
Early this morning, transfer to the airport and depart.
