On arrival at Oslo Airport you are met

leisure to relax after your flight.
Day 2: Oslo
Join your guide for a walking tour,
beginning at Oslo’s main promenade,
Karl Johans Gate, an area containing
many historic buildings. Walk through
the gardens of the Royal Palace and past
the classical Parliament building to the
Cathedral in Oslo’s main square. Visit
the red brick City Hall, with its array of
sculptures and murals, and the Nobel
Peace Center. This afternoon is at leisure.
Day 3: Oslo
This morning, explore the Munch
Museum, containing works of art from
Edvard Munch, one of Scandinavia’s
leading artists, and the Vigeland
Sculpture Park where
over 200 granite statues by Gustav
Vigeland are displayed. Transfer to the
Bygdøy Peninsula to visit the Viking
Ship Museum, which commemorates
the culture of the Vikings. Nearby is
the Kon-Tiki Museum that celebrates
the exploits of Norway’s most famous
explorer of recent times, Thor
Heyerdahl. Visit Holmenkollen Ski
Museum and Jump Tower to learn
about the importance and history of
skiing, both as a sport and means of
transportation. Equipment from the
Amundsen polar voyages and a model
ski-maker's workshop are part of the
display, as are skis dating from pre-
Viking times. It is possible to climb or
ride an elevator to the top of the jump
tower and look out over the entire
Oslo area.
