Day 1 - Arrive Bangkok, Thailand
Arrive in Bangkok, where you are met and transferred to your airport hotel.
Day 3 - Paro, Bhutan/Thimphu
Fly to Paro and receive a tashi khadda (traditional welcome). In Thimphu, visit the National Memorial Chorten and Tashichho Dzong. The next day, visit the Folk Heritage Museum, National Textile Museum and National Library.
Day 4 - Punakha
Today, travel by land over Dochula Pass at an altitude of 10,200 feet and see colorful prayer flags en route to Punakha. Explore Punakha Dzong before continuing to Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of the Divine Madman). Return to Thimphu.
Day 6 - Paro
Drive to Paro. Later, see the religious thankga (scroll) paintings and the natural history collection at the National Museum. Continue to Rinpung Dzong and visit a traditional farmhouse. The next day, hike to Taktsang (“Tiger's Nest”) Monastery.
Day 9 - Kathmandu, Nepal
Fly to Kathmandu. Ride by rickshaw to Durbar Square and Taleju Temple; see the House of the Living Goddess (Kumari); explore the bazaar and old city; and visit Swayambhunath. The next day, visit Kirtipur, the temple of Adinath and Chilancho Stupa. Attend a Nepalese cooking class in a local home. See Patan Durbar Square, the Golden Temple, Krishna Mandir and the Patan Museum. The following day, learn about scroll paintings in Boudhanath and visit the Temple of Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur and Kopan Nunnery.
Day 11 - Depart Bangkok
On Day 10, fly to Bangkok. Enjoy the use of your executive room, available for 24 hours, until you depart on your international flight home.
